Tom Cruise was turning heads in his recent film, Top Gun: Maverick. He filmed this when he was 58 (it came out 2 years late because of Covid), and we wonder, how does he look so good? It is obviously his job. He has to stay looking good, he is an action hero star. The question is, what can we do to look that good as we get older?

Here we have a picture of young Tom and older Tom. In the first photo, he has some wrinkles around his eyes because those are active muscles, so it’s normal to see wrinkles form here. In the photo where he is older, he has about the same amount, maybe even a little less, likely because of Botox. Botulinum like Botox or Xeomin help keep the skin smooth and relaxed by limiting the muscle movement. A good injector will use Botox to maintain a patient’s natural look, just less wrinkles!

Tech neck, sagging neck and a little submental pooch… We see it all! The neck is one of the earliest places to start to show signs of aging, a treatment like Morpheus8 (which is Microneedling with Radiofrequency) can be a great option to fight those early signs. Morpheus8 is a great non-surgical option to tighten the skin overall and the neck is typically treated in conjunction with the face and décolletage. We get a lot of people in our office looking to address this issue and our first recommendation will always be Morpheus8.

Finally, good skincare also plays a huge part in the way you age. Finding good medical grade skin care can really help slow the aging process and is usually the most affordable option for people with a smaller budget. At The Spiegel Center, we carry a range of high quality skincare products by Noon Aesthetics and DefenAge that are life changing.
