Rejuvenate The Upper Face

Are you bothered by the wrinkles and lines on your brow, a drooping appearance of your upper eyelids, or crow’s feet around the corners of your eyes? Lower eyebrows and fullness of the upper eyelids are common and happen naturally as a part of the aging process. Some individuals may notice these changes earlier in life, which can have a significant effect on their self-esteem and how youthful others perceive them.

Surgery Isn’t A Must For Everyone

Procedures like a brow lift and blepharoplasty are designed to address these issues, but in some cases, surgery may be too early and/or not recommended. Fortunately, The Spiegel Center in Newton, Massachusetts, offers a non-surgical brow lift. This is a minimally invasive option for brow rejuvenation capable of providing beautiful and natural-looking results. The non-surgical brow lift is done with just a few small injections right in the office. Precise placement of dermal fillers and botulinum (such as BOTOX®, Dysport®, Daxxify®, Jeuveau®, and Xeomin®) can achieve great results.

Am I A Good Candidate For A Non-surgical Browlift?

A non-surgical brow lift is an excellent option for those who have some loose skin and wrinkles around their brow, forehead, and eyes. It is ideal for addressing issues that may not be severe enough to require surgery. A non-surgical brow lift is also an excellent choice for anyone who is not comfortable with undergoing surgery.

The non-surgical brow lift provides a way to improve and maintain your appearance for as long as possible. It’s also helpful for people who want to “test the waters” and see how great they would look with an improved forehead and better eyebrow position before they commit to having surgery.

How A Non-surgical Browlift Is Performed

Lines, folds, wrinkles, and drooping skin typically form as the result of a loss of facial volume as we age. During a non-surgical brow lift, lost facial volume around the brow is restored using dermal filler injections to the temples, upper eyelid, or lower eyelid. Your doctor will assess the right filler for each patient’s needs and then carefully injects the filler into the target area.

For most, a non-surgical brow lift can be as simple as quick botulinum injections to the sides of the eyes where we typically inject for crow’s feet. BOTOX® is a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment with little to no downtime required following your BOTOX® treatment in Boston. Most patients are able to resume their normal activities immediately, though there may be a small amount of redness as well as some light swelling or a small bruise around the injection sites.

The non-surgical rejuvenation team at The Spiegel Center has decades of experience that help your ease of mind knowing this team knows where to inject, how much product to use, and how to properly manipulate the filler and/or botulinum. It takes expertise to contour the area in a way that yields natural results that blend seamlessly with the rest of the face.

How Does BOTOX® Lift My Eyebrow

BOTOX® belongs to a family of chemicals called neuromodulators that also includes Dysport®, Daxxify®, Jeuveau®, and Xeomin®. When injected into the facial muscles, neuromodulators block movement signals sent from the nerves to the muscles.

This prevents the muscles from contracting. Hence, the muscle is relaxed. In the case of the eyebrow, the lateral orbicularis muscle that plays a role in pulling the eyebrow down is relaxed, allowing the eyebrow to be raised.

Recovery Period, Or Lack Thereof

The best part of a non-surgical brow lift, when compared to its surgical counterpart, is that there is little to no downtime. Redness and swelling are to be expected, but should subside within a day or two. Patients are advised to refrain from touching the area and from excessive exercise for 24 hours until the filler and/or botulinum settles. Most people can resume their normal activities on the same day as the procedure, though others elect to take the rest of the day off.
