No doubt about it, it’s a Barbie World. Yes, Barbie is having a moment. Actually, Barbie’s been having a moment for almost 65 years since being introduced in 1959. Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, and featuring a perfectly designed Barbie world, the movie captures the Barbie universe utopia with plastic cups (empty of content and calories), plastic waves to run into with no salt water to rinse off, and true open concept living featuring homes without walls that one can fly out of. Better than any California dream this is Barbie world, and don’t we all want to be Barbie.

The Barbie movie phenomenon has us all mesmerized. Unlike Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Evita” who had to be clad in Christian Dior, as she sings “they need to adore me, so Christian Dior me”, Barbie is perfection on her own, without designer accessories. It’s all about simple pink plastic. And the more pink the better. Why the Barbie hype, and why now? Maybe because we need Barbie And Ken more than ever. That fantasy of flawless Tight & Bright skin, and long shaped Botox Barbie neck, the V-shaped jaw (with the help of masseter Botox), shapely breasts, tiny waist and peach perfect tush, a dream life, dream house, dream car, and dreamy boyfriend Ken.

We want to believe in perfection. Reasonable, smart people have goals and are motivated to be the best they can be in all aspects of life, including their appearance. As long as it’s within reason. Nobody should try to look unnatural, but what’s wrong with wanting flawless skin, and a shapely figure?  For thousands of years people have made models of idealized beauty. The Venus of Willendorf is a 30,000 year old limestone statue of female perfection, albeit a very different look than a modern Barbie doll. The point is, that people have been modeling perfection for as long as history. And fortunately, if you speak to most young women today, they recognize that Barbie is just a toy, not a real goal, but, the concept of seeking the perfect life resonates. Some things are beyond our control, such as height, but, other things we can influence. If you want curly hair, you can curl your hair. If you want different color hair or eyes, you dye your hair and wear colored contact lenses. And, if you want to seek perfect skin, you can with IPL, Morpheus8, Botox, fillers, and proven skin care products

Perfect skin begins with sun protection and using the best skin care products. Technology enables us to have smooth and uniform skin tone with collagen enhancement to reduce wrinkles and tighten the skin. We now have the ability to make strategic interventions to prevent and treat signs of aging.

Part of that can be “Barbie Botox”. What is Barbie Botox? Barbie Botox is comprehensive smoothing and can include:

  1. Mesotherapy Baby Botox (the placement of small amounts of botulinum such as BOTOX, Dysport, Jeuveau, Daxxify or Xeomin) into and under the skin.
  2. Botox to the Masseter and platysma muscles to create a slimmer heart-shaped lower face and snatched jawline.
  3. And Barbie Botox to the trapezius muscles to create the appearance of a longer and more slender neck.

Want to look more like Barbie? Breast augmentation, hip contouring, fat melting or freezing around the waist, and tightening of the arms and calves to slenderize and create the appearance of the neck can be done. We can even recommend a good hair dresser for your favorite Barbie ‘do. There’s nothing wrong with trying to live your dreams, as long as you are reasonable, rational, and accept that not everything is possible. To paraphrase the band, They Might Be Giants: “nobody gets exactly what they want, and that is beautiful.” Aim high, and you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve.
