I have just reached my 2 year anniversary of working with Dr. Spiegel, and one of the best teams ever! Although 2 years doesn’t seem like a very long time, I have learnt so much when it comes to beauty and Aesthetics. It has changed my life in so many ways. Since this marks a special occasion in my time at Advanced Facial Aesthetics, I thought I would share some of the most important things I have learnt thus far.

1. Cosmetic procedures are just the beginning

Coming to see Dr. Spiegel and the staff is something we hope to make an exciting experience for anyone who sets foot in our door. We know it is our job to educate our patients on the importance of maintaining their results, and taking care of their skin. It is common for many to see Cosmetic procedures (Facelift, Botox etc.) as a quick fix solution. While these procedures do address larger wrinkles, sagging skin and an overall more youthful appearance, they are not aimed specifically at the tone and texture of your skin. Once you have had you’re in office procedure or surgery done, we will provide you with a Skin Care regimen tailored specifically for you. These regimens will not only maintain your new refreshed and revitalized look, but will also help to improve any damage you already have.

2. Your Skin will continue to age

REMEMBER, that even after having a cosmetic procedure done your Skin will still continue to age as it normally does. While many of the cosmetic procedures will make you look 5-10years younger you will still need to take care of your skin to prevent further wrinkle, dark spots, hollowing and sagging.

3. Sunscreen, Sunscreen, Sunscreen

And once again, SUNSCREEN! The sun is one of the number one reasons we age prematurely, causing wrinkles and those dreaded dark spots. Making sure you wear sunscreen every day is a must, and is one of the reasons we make sure each and every one of our patients incorporates this into their daily routine.

4. Retinol

Just like a sunscreen a Retinol is a really important part of your Skincare Regimen. Retinols help with the turnover of your skin and will help to get rid of your dead Skin cells. This means that every time you use a new product it is being absorbed into your skin instead of layered on top. Retinols come in a number of different strengths and we can certainly help you find the right strength to get your skin looking its best.

5. Confidence is key

I have noticed that once our patients have a procedure done with Dr. Spiegel, their whole attitude changes. Along with that refreshed look comes a refreshed outlook! Always let your confidence shine through! You are beautiful regardless, and having that confidence will bring you to the next level. Remember:” The most beautiful thing you can wear is confidence.”
