Can Botox Treat Excessive Sweating?
Botox has become one of these treatments that have been able to treat a variety of different ailments that exist in the medical world. Researchers have now found that Botox is successful in treating excessive sweating that some people tend to suffer from or other wise know as hyperhidrosis.

“Hyperhidrosis can either be generalized or localized to specific parts of the body. Hands, feet, armpits, and the groin area are among the most active regions of perspiration due to the relatively high concentration of sweat glands; however, any part of the body may be affected.”
Botox is a treatment typically associated with cosmetic plastic surgery by reducing wrinkles in the face. Over the years the FDA has approved Botox for a variety of other ailments including chronic headaches and Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating. Patients have been known to find using Botox extremely beneficial in treating excessive sweating in the face, neck and hands. The Botox is injected into the affected areas which block the signals to the brain telling the body to produce more sweat through sweat glands. This is an extremely beneficial find in the community because hyperhidrosis can have significant psychological effects on the person suffering from hyperhidrosis.
