We all want to look young and beautiful but what many people don’t realize is that some of their everyday habits are actually speeding up their aging process of their skin. From week to week you might not notice but trust me one day you will wake up and look at your skin and wonder where all those wrinkles came from. Trying to break away from some of the ugly daily habits now will allow you to look much younger in your later years.

Cigarette Smoke

Cigarette smoke is one of the biggest wrinkle causing agents in today’s society. Aside from some of the obvious factors on why you shouldn’t smoke it causes the body to deplete vitamin C and increases overall dryness which will cause a persons skin to become naturally dry. People who smoke for many years also develop massive wrinkles above their upper lip which often stands out quite a great deal when speaking with other people.

Not Drinking Enough Water

Ideally you want to have 8-10 glasses of water each day but if you can consume any that is better than nothing. Your skin is the largest organ in your body and it is comprised of mostly water so when your skin gets dry it could be sign that you do not drink enough water.

Too Much Sun

We all want to have a nice tan but you pay for that nice tan in more ways than one. Sun exposure is a very powerful skin aging agent and you also increase your potential of developing skin cancer if you have too much sun exposure. Once the skin develops its leather like appearance and wrinkles come into play the wrinkles will be much heavier giving the sagging skin a bolder look.

Not Enough Sleep

When you do not get enough sleep the first place it shows up is in your face. You develop a tired look along with the dark circles under your eyes giving your face a much stronger aged look which is not a sought after appearance.

Alcohol Use

Alcohol use can increase the flow of toxins in your skin while depleting the body of its primary resource, water. When you drink you dehydrate your body causing your skin to dry and age. You can also put stress on your blood vessels causing them to become permanently damaged over time at the surface of the skin.

Kicking these 5 habits sooner rather than later is a smart and wise choice if you don’t want your body to age faster than it already is. If your lifestyle has too many of these habits present on a daily basis all the make up in the world will not cover up that tired aging look on your skin.
