Last week we started the Ken Kare trends for Men and Plastic Surgery, describing the top 3 most popular procedures men seek.  Here are the remaining 3 Ken Kare (yes! I know it’s with a C) musts from head to toe.

4. Rhinoplasty or Nose fillers.

One of the main problem areas that bring men to the plastic surgery office is their nose. Whether it’s a bump, or the nose appears too large, crooked, bent, rounded, bulbous, or widened, it can make you feel uncomfortable in your appearance. And, as every Ken will know, confidence is priceless. The key purpose of a rhinoplasty or non-surgical rhinoplasty is to craft a nose that fits seamlessly with your face.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty, otherwise known as nose fillers, uses a hyaluronic filler like Restylane® or Prollenium Versa® to reshape the nose. If you have a bump on your nose or your nose is too sloped from an old rhinoplasty, dermal filler can be used to add volume in the area to create the appearance of a straight nose. Similarly if you have a droopy nose tip and would like a little more of a gentle curve, dermal fillers are able to create this change. Look up #Bostontipflip. We were instrumental in nonsurgical rhinoplasty innovation.

The team at the Spiegel Center can tackle your problem and provide you with options that best address your needs. We've become the number-one destination for non-surgical rhinoplasty for a reason. It is because of Dr. Spiegel's and Dr. Tower’s stellar reputations in surgical rhinoplasty that has made The Spiegel Center a fly-to-destination for rhinoplasty and now non-surgical rhinoplasty with Dr. Onir as she is recognized as one of the world’s experts in this great office procedure.

5. Small jaw & chin is often a reason for men to seek jaw contouring.

Men often have more square chins and wider, more prominent jaws. Women tend to have a narrower, tapered, and more delicate jaw shape. Having the mandible (lower jaw) contoured can enhance the appearance and size of the jaw, making it more masculine.

Conventional wisdom might say that an implant is the only way to recontour the face. While implants are a wonderful aid to many people, they are not the only way to create a more pleasing facial shape. Dermal fillers are often used to add definition and structure to the jaw. Fillers do this by adding volume to the target area.

Most fillers used to make jawlines more aesthetically pleasing are made of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that already naturally exists in the body. Hyaluronic fillers come in a variety of textures and thicknesses and, when injected, can be sculpted with precision by an experienced injector to create a well-defined jaw. Whether hyaluronic acid filler or bio-stimulant CALCIUM-based Radiesse, the results are dependent on the doctor injecting you. Hence choosing the right doctor is key to attaining beautiful results.

6. Six-pack abs are everyone’s dream.

Well no longer is it just a dream. Many are making a six-pack a reality without all the workouts. Fat Freezing is one simple procedure to get you started on your journey. Using very cold temperatures on a specific problem area, we can permanently eliminate the fat cells and get a 20% reduction in size in a single treatment. Fat freezing is completely noninvasive. No needles, no stitches. No special garments. Fat freezing works because fat cells do not replicate and remain the same from the time you’re an adolescent. This means once the fat cell is gone, it’s gone.

Another procedure is liposuction. With liposuction, we actually vacuum away the unwanted fat cells. A small cannula (thin metal tube) is passed under the skin typically with local anesthesia. Liposuction is time-tested and effective. You’ll need to wear a compressive dressing (like “Spanx”) over the treated area for a little while as you heal into shape.

Lastly, here comes BodyTite. The perfect solution to not only getting rid of your belly fat, but actually tightening the skin on top. Here, a small probe is passed under the skin and on top to admit radiofrequency (RF) thermal energy to improve your skin’s laxity. Unwanted fat melts while your skin is simultaneously shrunk to fit your new svelte shape. It’s done under local anesthesia, no stitches are required, and it’s incredibly effective.

The results are comparable to surgery without prolonged downtime. We all strive to look and feel our best. Diet and exercise are the cornerstones of a healthy and attractive body, but sometimes that’s insufficient for the type of body we want, that’s when BodyTite can bring you the results you deserve.
