Pain Free Electrolysis Boston with Anesthesia!
There is no joy when it comes to addressing unwanted body hair. Most of the available methods are uncomfortable or painful, like shaving, plucking, and waxing. Laser reduction works well, but not for all hair types or colors. Lasers need contrast, so if you have light hair on light skin, or dark hair on dark skin it’s not going to work as well.
When are some areas of your body that you know you want to be hair-free forever a permanent hair-removal option like electrolysis is the answer. At The Spiegel Center, we can eliminate the struggle that comes with constantly managing your unwanted hair and make maintaining smooth hairless skin easy and pain-free.
What Is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a form of permanent hair removal. It is performed using a special probe that emits a mild energy current. The probe is delicately inserted along the hair follicle and then the current is released. This energy emitted by the probe destroys the hair follicle, thus permanently preventing hair from growing in the area. It’s a precise and skilled procedure.
Why Do I Need Multiple Treatments?
Hair growth occurs in phases. First is the growing phase, followed by the resting phase and finally the shedding phase. Electrolysis only works on hairs that are currently in the growth phase. All the hairs in one area of the body are not in the same phase at the same time, so if only one treatment is performed, only the hairs that were currently in the growth cycle will be gone.
Performing electrolysis treatments over the course of several days or weeks will allow time for all of the hairs in the targeted area to reach the growth phase. This allows the treatment to work properly and target all the hairs in the area, making your results much more consistent.
Is Electrolysis Right for Me?
Electrolysis is an FDA-approved treatment that is safe to use on all skin types and colors as well as all hair types. It is a safe and effective option for getting rid of unwanted hair in numerous areas, including:
- Upper face
- And almost anywhere else you don’t want hair.
What to Expect
The sensation produced by the electrolysis process is comparable to laser therapy. While some individuals find the process to be tolerable, some experience discomfort, particularly in sensitive areas or when many hair are treated at the same time. That’s where we are different. As a medical facility, we are able to provide anesthesia to make the entire procedure comfortable and pain free. Many different levels of anesthesia are available to suit your needs and medical history. We don’t think electrolysis needs to hurt and at The Spiegel Center, it doesn’t!
