Tight and Bright is what we at TSC call the combination of two superb skin rejuvenating modalities, Intense Pulsed Light (a.k.a photo facial or IPL) and Morpheus8 (microneedling with RF/Radiofrequency). Each of these is fabulous on its own, and the combination is able to address almost all of your skin concerns.  It’s two technologies delivering three different treatments — IPL, Microneedling and RF.

Morpheus 8 is the latest in skin rejuvenation and has become the gold standard in RF skin rejuvenation for tightening the skin. The buzz about Morpheus 8 has been unparalleled because it works! This office procedure requires only topical numbing cream. To do the procedure, small “micro” needles are used for mechanical microneedling, and to introduce radiofrequency energy into the skin. Microneedling, on its own, induces collagen proliferation, improves skin texture, decreases scarring, and tightens the skin. When Radiofrequency (RF) energy is added the effects are greatly enhanced. By controlling the depth and energy level we can tighten skin, increase collagen production, improve skin elasticity, reduce subcutaneous fat if desired, and greatly rejuvenate the area treated. Morpheus 8 is our number one non-invasive treatment for jowls and mild skin sagging of the face, neck, and décolletage. This treatment improves uneven and rough skin texture, hides acne scarring and other scars on the face and body, softens lines and creases of the skin, shrinks enlarged pores, reduces stretch marks, and minimizes sun damage. Furthermore, it can be used almost anywhere. We can do Morpheus 8 on your face, your neck, your arms, your belly (goodbye stretch marks), your knees and elbows, and virtually anywhere you have loose, scarred, or undesirable skin. This is the “Tight” of Tight and Bright.

Add to Morpheus8, Intense Pulsed Light and your skin will thank you for years to come. The combination therapy produces the best results in skin rejuvenation available.

Intense Pulsed Light, or IPL, treatment will help improve your skin’s tone and texture by stimulating collagen production. But, mostly it will significantly brighten your skin. Most of the tightening will be done by the Morpheus 8, and your skin brightening by IPL.

IPL is skin rejuvenation technology that has been proven effective time and time again. It can adapt to many situations and treat many conditions. For example, IPL can diminish acne flare-ups, reduce unwanted hair growth, correct skin damage caused by sun and aging, reduce redness and telangiectasias (broken blood vessels), and importantly, will diminish brown age spots, sun spots, and moles.

The light beam emitted from IPL is absorbed by the skin pigment (melanin), inflamed acne pimples, unwanted red areas, or darkened hair follicles depending upon the settings we choose. The light energy converts to heat, which destroys the unwanted characteristic while also damaging, inhibiting, or delaying future pigmentation or hair growth, thus improving the color and texture of the skin without surgery. The energy also improves collagen and overall skin health. It can even undo some of the damage caused by sun exposure — called photoaging, found commonly on the face, neck, décolletage, and hands. You’ll look younger and actually be healthier.

While lightening the skin is desirable for some people, if you have darker skin this is clearly not something you want. IPL is not recommended for people with dark skin, but Morpheus 8 can be used on even the darkest skin colors.

The combination treatment of both modalities, IPL and Morpheus can get you the best results possible. When you schedule your appointment we’ll prescribe you a topical medication to desensitize the skin to the Intense Pulsed Light, microneedles, and radiofrequency energy, so that the procedure is comfortable. You will be asked to apply the medication about an hour before arrival and again upon arrival at TSC.

After being settled in a room, we’ll clean your skin, protect your eyes, and begin your IPL treatment using a small handheld applicator. The tip of the applicator is cooled to further improve your experience and is moved across the skin along a layer of cooling gel that helps get you the maximum results from the procedure.

Following your IPL treatment, we will remove the gel layer and proceed with the Morpheus 8 part of the Tight and Bright. We’ll place the applicator against your skin for a few moments in each area while energy is inserted through the tiny needles. Upon completion of the two combination treatments, we will again clean your skin and apply a serum that was specifically curated and designed for this procedure.

As IPL and Morpheus treatments are gentle and non-ablative, you should not expect any significant downtime and may resume most of your regular activities immediately. Some of the treated brown spots may initially appear darker before they fade away. To fully regain the maximal effects and youthful tone and texture of your skin, you may require more than one Tight and Bright treatment. You can choose a package of 3 treatments initially, and then consider maintenance to keep the best youthful skin by doing the Tight and Bright treatment once or twice a year, in the fall and spring.

We are so excited to offer the Tight and Bright treatment combination of IPL and Morpheus 8 to get you your best appearance. With Tight and Bright, the best is yet to come!
