When you wear sunscreen, you are blocking more harmful UV rays that could dry out your skin. That means that you are essentially giving your skin a reprieve from the source that damages it. Water is one of the greatest tools you have at your disposal to improve your overall skin health. When your skin has become damaged, drinking lots of water can help with skin correction. In general, you should aim to consume six to eight glasses of water per day. When you are dealing with damaged skin, try to boost that amount to eight to ten glasses per day. However, getting the moisture into your body is only the first step. You also need a way to make sure that moisture stays locked into your skin to make sure you maximize your healing ability. A good moisturizer with some Aloe Vera or vitamin E can help make sure that happens, holding the moisture in and boosting the strength of your skin.


Some minor damage to the skin is contained solely on the outer layer, meaning that as you skin dies and is replaced by newer cells the damage will slowly go away. To help speed this process along, you can exfoliate regularly. A good facial scrub, especially one that uses natural sources such as citrus peels, avocados, or cucumbers, can help remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate the skin underneath. This will reverse damage from aging and from the sun, making you look younger and more vibrant. Even after you have removed the damage, you should consider sticking with whatever exfoliating solution you come up with. This will make it much easier for you to avoid damage again in the future.
