What To Expect During The Procedure
A traditional scar revision procedure requires that your old scar be cut away. This results in the creation of a cleaner, less noticeable new scar. Scar revision can typically be performed at The Spiegel Center exam rooms with local anesthesia on the day of your consultation. Howeven, bigger scars may require some scheduling and general anesthesia.
Once your new incision heals, the new scar will fade away beautifully over time. Aside from keeping the area clean and protected from the sun, there is little recovery required following this procedure.
