Temples aren’t often the first area people think about in correcting an aging face, but in fact the temples are one of the first areas to be affected by aging, particularly in slim Caucasian people. The temples are a key factor in signaling a young face versus an older face. Hollow temples can make your whole face look sunken, fatigued, or sickly, even if you feel great. 

Temples also affect how proportional the entire face looks and act as a support for the brows and upper eyes. When the temples lose volume, this can accelerate sagging in the whole upper face and create a “peanut” like appearance to the face.
