With medical technology moving at such a rapid pace there is no surprise that we are now capable of completing full facial transplants during high profile reconstructive surgery cases. Over the last few years there have only been a small handful of these facial transplants completed but in all cases have tremendously helped the patient in many ways.

Recently a Boston hospital has been able to successfully perform the procedure at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Texas resident Dallas Weins suffered a horrific work accident working on a power line that left him so badly disfigured surgeons where simply not sure if they would be able to successfully perform the procedure. The procedure happened recently with great success. Dallas is now able to smile again with his 3 year old daughter.
