Last week we wrote about a transgender individual who was kicked out of Canada’s Miss Universe pageant because of a gender issue. Now, we don’t have to tell you that this obviously caused an uproar amongst the transgender community and the folks over at the Miss Universe Pageant decided to let her back into the show.
There was one stipulation however:
“The Miss Universe Organization reversed their decision April 2, 2012, allowing a transgender contestant to compete as long as they meet the legal Canadian gender recognition requirements and standards that are established by other competitions held internationally.”
