Say Goodbye To Signs of Aging - Without Surgery!

Aging is unavoidable, but looking old isn’t. Dysport is a muscle relaxant like its predecessor BOTOX that reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive movement. At The Spiegel Center in Newton, Massachusetts, our expert injectors use Dysport to smoothen skin and rejuvenate the face without sacrificing movement. Dysport and Xeomin are often recommended for those who have tried BOTOX but find their bodies metabolize it too quickly.

Dysport Is Quick And Effective

In less than thirty minutes, you can erase frown lines and have a younger-looking face. Dysport is a muscle relaxant which tends to spread into the target area faster than BOTOX. There is no downtime associated with Dysport, and patients typically go right back to their daily activities post-treatment.

How Does Dysport Work?

Many patients are familiar with the original muscle relaxer BOTOX, which has been popular for decades. Dysport contains some of the same major ingredients, though there are slight variations between the two, chief among them being that Dysport is not as concentrated as BOTOX, which makes it spread more quickly into the target area.

Dysport and BOTOX are neuromodulators, a type of chemical that safely blocks messages transmitted between nerves and muscles. When these nerve transmissions do not reach the muscle, the muscle does not contract and instead settles into a temporarily relaxed state. This “pause” does not inhibit normal functions like smiling, talking, or eating, but it does reduce the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles caused by facial movements.

Is Dysport For Me?

The best way to determine if Dysport is better for you over alternatives like BOTOX, Xeomin, or Jeuveau is to have a consultation with one of The Spiegel Center’s board-certified doctors who specialize in non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Our doctors will carefully examine your face and listen to your aesthetic goals and insecurities.

After also reviewing your medical history, the doctor will suggest the best option and educate you on what results to expect. Many patients who find success with Dysport typically say they look young again. Before Dysport they felt or appeared to be tired or upset regardless of mood or energy level. Here are some common areas Dysport can treat:

  • Forehead wrinkles
  • “Elevens,” or deep lines between the eyes
  • Crow’s feet
  • Neck lines and platysma bands
  • Bunny lines
  • Gummy smile
  • Chin wrinkle, or what’s called the "chin orange peel"

What Results Can I Expect?

The Spiegel Center’s patients love Dysport because of how much smoother and well-rested they look after treatment. Though improvement is clear on the same day, you can expect your face to appear fully bright, friendly, and refreshed in about a week. Dynamic wrinkles like frown lines, “elevens,” bunny lines, and crow’s feet will be much less noticeable, and in some cases, will be undetectable. Dysport typically remains effective for 4-6 months.
