International Patients

Tervetuloa!  Bienvenue!  Fáilte!  Yo koso!  Huan yin!  Sushri akal!  Regardless of how you say it – welcome!

We are so happy you are interested in learning more about Dr. Spiegel.  It is our pleasure to help and we look forward to working with you.   Over 70% of our patients fly into Boston for surgery so we are accustomed to helping patients not only prepare for surgery, but also prepare for a trip to Boston.   But how do you get started?

A face-to-face meeting with Dr. Spiegel is ideal to discuss your surgical plan and get your surgery experience started.  Dr. Spiegel travels quite often and attempts to visit many different cities and countries in order to see as many people as possible.  Check back on this page often to learn about any upcoming events and trips – we hope to visit your city soon!    Contact our office (001-617-414-5058 or info@drspiegel.com) if there is a group in your city that would like to hear Dr. Spiegel speak – we would love to visit!

Of course, an in-person meeting may not be possible in order to discuss surgery.  In these cases, our office routinely arranges meetings via Skype or telephone in order to start the conversation and give us a good idea of what the surgical plan will be.

To help us with these phone meetings, please send three clear, well-lit photos of your face and neck (ideally from the front, profile and an angled profile, without cosmetics) to ivy.solis@bmc.org.  Please include your best contact phone number and the best day and time to reach you.  Our office will contact you to set up a time to discuss your goals, options, and questions with Dr. Spiegel.

These conversations do not constitute a medical evaluation or consultation and are meant as an educational conversation.  No formal surgical, diagnostic, or treatment recommendations can be made without an office visit.   However, these conversations do offer us an opportunity to discuss your options and figure out how to make surgery happen for you.

Our office is happy to provide patients with a letter for visa agents explaining why their appearance may not match their identification following surgery.  No patient has ever been denied entrance back into their country following surgery.   These letters are provided to patients following surgery.
