Love Kybella Treatments

Kybella treatments are a revolution in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. It is a minimally invasive procedure for people with excess chin or neck fat, who don’t wish to have actual surgery to correct the issue.

Kybella treatments are a series of injections containing deoxycholic acid, which is a naturally occurring chemical found in the stomach. This chemical is responsible for dissolving and breaking down fat during the digestion process, and works to do the same thing to excess fat when injected throughout the body.

Besides being minimally invasive, and a great alternative to full on facial surgery, here are a few reasons why people are in love with Kybella Treatments.

It’s Quick

The entire procedure is done in the doctor’s office. It typically only takes between fifteen and twenty minutes to complete. Most people return to work, school, errands, or whatever else they have to do immediately following their procedure, although some do have temporary swelling or bruising, and may want to take the rest of the day off.

It’s Effective

Kybella treatments are incredibly effective at getting rid of stubborn neck and/or chin fat. Results take around three weeks to fully reveal themselves, allowing a very gradual process. This is a more natural option than surgical procedures which bring about results immediately. After the injection, the acid will start to melt the fat away. Your body will naturally get rid of the waste product as it dissolves.

Minimally Invasive

Facial reconstruction and cosmetic surgery is invasive. Many patients would prefer to not undergo these procedures, whether for personal preferences, or health risks. Kybella treatments, on the other hand, are only minimally invasive. It is just a simple injection into the chin or neck, in areas where the patient wants fat targeted. That’s it. There is no need for anesthesia, or a long recovery process.

Side Effects & Warnings

Although Kybella treatments are typically safe, there is always the risk of side effects as it is a medical procedure. If you are allergic to any ingredients within the Kybella treatments, you should not use them. If you have a health condition, are elderly, pregnant, nursing, or plan to become pregnant soon, be sure to speak with your surgeon prior to your procedure to ensure it is a safe option for you.

Minor side effects are common with this procedure. This may include tingling, bruising, swelling, or numbness at the site of injection. This may last anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours. If side effects last longer than 24 hours, be sure to call your cosmetic surgeon.
