Facebook has become one of the most popular platforms in the world for sharing photos with family and friends. Although many people look great in photos, there are those who lack the confidence to appear in front of a camera lens or who simply don’t photograph as well as others. There are a few tips that can ensure that you look better in your Facebook photos.
By turning your head just slightly away from the camera lens, you will be drawing more attention to your face and less attention to your ears. This can be a big help to people who are under the impression that their ears are too big because of the fact that it actually causes a person to look at the photo from top to bottom instead of from ear to ear.
Although a little makeup applied in the right places can go a long way in helping you improve the way you look for Facebook photos, plastering it on like an oil painting will only make matters worse. Simply apply a little bronzing powder to your cheek and nose areas to prevent shining and couple it with a little mild eyeliner to accent the eyes. In most cases, lip gloss is a more preferable option than lipstick which can sometimes appear too unnatural in photos.
By laughing at the camera instead of simply just plastering a staged smile on your face will make the world of difference when you are photographed. This is because laughing will ensure that a natural smile is captured in the photo. So go ahead and picture the photographer being naked or even recall a funny moment in your head and give your best smile ever.
Most people want to look thinner in photos. What usually works for this is to ensure that the photographer takes the photo from a slightly higher angle above your head. This is because more attention will be drawn to your face and less towards your body this way. Instead of simply standing and staring straight ahead at the camera, try stand at a slight angle with one foot behind the other to add a little extra personality to your photo.
Before the photographer takes the shot, focus your eyes on a light source close to you. This will cause your pupils to shrink a little and help prevent red-eye in your photos. Another option is to close your eyes and just before the photographer takes the photo, open them as wide as possible. This will help in preventing you from looking sleepy in your photos.
Another point that is important to remember when taking photos is to ensure that there is nothing in the background of your photo that you don’t want captured along with you in your photo. By following these tips, you should be able to improve the quality of your Facebook photos substantially.
